I’ve created this section so that anyone who is interested in purchasing property will become familiar with the buying process. Today’s market can be a challenge, so that’s why it’s important to work with an experienced real estate professional. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of assisting many clients with finding their new home, so should you decide to go forward please consider the following in order to make this process a smooth one.
If you are a first time home purchaser, then I always suggest becoming “pre-qualified” with a mortgage company, bank or credit union. This will provide you with assurance of just how much you can afford and allow you the control over what type of loan program fits your needs. Should you be looking for a second home or investment property then it’s also good to check-in with your current loan provider for a review of their products before looking to others.
The next step is to create a list of amenities and put them in order of importance. I always suggest that price range be at the top of your list, and then followed by desired locations. A few criteria may include: school districts, proximity to work, number of bedrooms & baths, garage spaces, etc.
